National Child Care Association Economic Impact Statement on child care in the United States. 

Massachusetts child care statisticsThis study reports that Americans spent approximately $38 billion a year on licensed  programs creating income for approximately 2.8 million direct, indirect and induced jobs, and generates almost $9 billion in tax revenues. In addition, it reports that the child care industry directly employs more Americans than public secondary schools, and is responsible for twice as many jobs as the farming sector.
